Have been studying colour grading for the last few months and wanted to practice on some footage so I created this little sequence from Rehgan’s Art Day last year. The idea was to gather everyone together to film dancing in front of a canvas so that he could use the stills from the moving images in later projects. In terms of colour this video presented interesting issues. The contrast was incredibly low and the ratio could only be increased to about 80% so that quality was not sacrificed. I tried to keep the natural colour cast (red) but added a slightly green tint to compliment the footage. Overall finishing was done with added glow and yellow highlights.

This video is a little special too because it was one of the last times we were nearly all together and I smiled so much watching it during the cut, that my cheeks hurt.

‘So Bad’ – Class A

Class A released her debut album at beginning of October; Me, Me, Me and Him – the Secret Life of a Receptionist. It was an epic journey to see the completion of the ‘So Bad’ music video but cast and crew were rewarded with an airing on Rage!

Why not really? I wanted to try out an idea with comic strips and camera animation and what better medium to test it out on than my furry Family Leroy, Astrix, Haloumi and Chachi. They are always obliging in front of a camera and work for nix. Enjoy.

Chase the Sun

 

Finding myself obsessed by the rapidly decreasing sunshine, I started wistfully looking at the glorious footage of good times we had last summer. Chase the Sun is a short montage of some of best of footage we took, knitted together by the benevolent rays of the sun. The track is ‘Les Enfants Perdus’ by Beats Antique.

Our Tribe / Our Fashion

Fashion Parade @ Our Tribe, Friday 26 March 2010

Many people contributed to Our Tribe including several designers who came together for a fashion parade during the event. Supported by amazing hair stylists, makeup artists and photographers, the parade showcased the fashion stylings of Jasmine Fagoli, Candice Gray, Kaye Sebire, Jewelz Green and Dog O’Connor.

The footage was taken by Pete Lowe and of course put through the blender by UberMash.
